Boz Scaggs
Out of the Blues Tour 2019
After learning guitar at the age of 12, William Royce Scaggs, better known as Boz Scaggs met Steve Miller. Scaggs would become the vocalist for Miller's band, The Marksmen. In 1976, Boz hooked up with several musicians who would later form the group Toto. They recorded the smash hit album Silk Degrees. The album reached number 2 on the U.S. charts and number 1 in a number of countries across the world, spawning three hit singles: "Lowdown", "Lido Shuffle", and "What Can I Say", as well as the standard "We're All Alone".
“I’m at a point where I’m having a lot of fun with music, more than ever,” Boz Scaggs says. “It’s like I’m just going wherever I want to go with it.” The inspirational heart of those songs lies in the sounds of Texas that played such a vital role in shaping Scaggs’ musical sensibility.
Boz Scaggs will perform all his hit songs and more at the Wagner Noël Performing Arts Center on Tuesday, April 23rd at 8 PM.
